We've recently updated our search algorithms, so you're going to get fewer results, but those results will be more accurate.
To narrow down your results even further, here are some tips on how to get more relevant search results.
Sometimes you might want to see the tenders from a specific buyer, for example, when you know that a specific Government Department is about to advertise something relevant to you.
We use a strict search for buyer names, which means we only show results where the buyer name is an exact match to your search. However, sometimes a buyer might go by alternative names, e.g. Department for Work and Pensions, DWP, Dept for Work & Pensions.
To get the buyer results you need, you can enter multiple buyer names in one search:
Department for Work and Pensions, DWP, Dept for Work & Pensions
Even the full stops matter in this kind of search, so ‘DWP’ and ‘D.W.P.’ are different things. If you’re not sure what to put in, do a keyword search for their name and see the sorts of names they’ve used in the past.
